Keywords are the Gateway to Traffic

Last Updated on 09/25/2024 by Daniel Stenabaugh

Keywords are the Gateway to Traffic and today we are going to talk about keywords and the role they play in content creation for your website. We are going to discuss the most popular tool for doing Keyword research and how low competition keywords lead to getting your content ranked highly in search engines. Higher rankings mean more traffic to your website. If your customers do not see your website content, they cannot benefit from your offerings.

Keywords are key to content

It is especially important to remember that Google and other search engines exist because of CONTENT. If they have no content to share, they have no business. Search engines want to display your content and, if you can deliver high quality content that targets low competition keywords, you will be rewarded with high rankings in their search engines. High rankings bring more traffic to your website.

If your posts do not get ranked highly enough in the search engine, no one will see your website. If no one sees your posts, then no one benefits from our offerings. No customers; no business. It is as simple as that.

First page rankings in search engine can and will lead to massive amounts of traffic to your website and if you follow these simple ideas you are going to see your traffic continue to go up with every “keyword targeted” page or post that you create on your website.

Keyword research is the act of finding phrases about your business that users type into a search engine. It is a way of figuring out how people will find you online.  Each page you build will target a specific keyword. We want to find keywords that will be more readily ranked by Google or other search engines.

Jaaxy

One of the best tools to use to do keyword research is called Jaaxy. Jaaxy is the only keyword and research platform that was developed by affiliate marketers for affiliate marketers There an incredible number of hands-on processes that are very time-consuming, when it comes to your business keyword and competition research. With Jaaxy research can be a breeze.

With Jaaxy you simply enter keywords that are relevant to your niche. These may be single words and long tail strings of words. Jaaxy ranks your keywords and displays metrics that include the average number of searches the keyword can receive per month, the number of visits your website will achieve if you get first page ranking in Google. It also gives the number of competing websites ranked by Google for that keyword. Jaaxy also provides a keyword quality rank and a score based on traffic and competition.

Some keywords are extremely popular and used by your competitors. If everyone is using the same keyword, it will be difficult for you to rank highly in the search column. What Jaaxy does is to help you find keywords that have low competition but still get sufficient views to generate traffic. This means that every page/post will have the opportunity to rank under a given keyword in Google and lead to traffic. Effective keyword research is the key to finding words that rank well.

Topic Research

Now that you have researched your low competition keywords, it’s time to develop your ideas into a topic for your post. Your topic is what you want to say about your chosen low- competition keyword(s). It’s your story. If you enter your best low competition keyword into a search engine, you will obtain many additional ideas that you can use to develop your content. This kind of research helps you understand the range that your keyword can cover. Write down all the phrases that you want to use in your article. Since you may want to conduct additional research using popular search engine, you can cut-and-paste the information into a separate word processing document, and this way you can quickly reference the information that you researched in one place without having to spend hours browsing Internet for information again.

Know your Competition

Another way to take a deep dive into keywords and Keyword research is to use a company such as SEMrush.  Check out this short video to see how other companies are enhancing their performance with SEMrush

Do not overload your articles with too many keywords. If you do, you run the risk of creating an incoherent word salad. Try to be focused on what is important. In addition, it is important to have the proper density of keywords in your article. Research has shown that 1% of the words in your article should be keywords. In other words, a 500-word article would have approximately 5 keywords. Too many keywords and your content will seem blurred out of focus.

As you can see, Keywords open a universe of opportunities.

The lower competition keywords you can find, the better your search engine rankings will be.
